Lamb's Camaro reaches third straight final

After suffering a frustrating final-round loss a week prior in which he never got the chance to race his opponent, Justin Lamb's fortunes improved by 200 percent when Shawn Langdon drove his '68 Camaro to victory in Sunday's regular Super Gas program of the Sonoma race and Lamb repeated the feat 24 hours later by winning the Super Gas title of the postponed NHRA Arizona Nationals.

Wine Country Winners

SONOMA - NHRA class structure dictates that there be only four Full Throttle winners at the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals, but a lot of drivers left Infineon Raceway feeling like potential champs as nine racers, including Funny Car winner Ron Capps and Pro Stock Motorcycle titlist Michael Phillips, secured their berths in the Countdown to 1 playoffs.
